Our Story

Based in the West Midlands, Seagull Balustrades is an experienced balustrade supplier, and stainless steel handrail supplier, providing systems for domestic, DIY and commercial projects across the UK.
Established in 1993, our parent company Seagull Fittings Ltd created Seagull Balustrades to provide high-quality stainless steel handrails, glass balustrades and self-install systems, supplied ready for installation and made to suit each project’s requirements.
Our experienced team works closely with customers throughout the process, from initial enquiry and product advice through to supply and installation support, delivering quality, reliability and service to both commercial and private clients.

Our Approach
Manufactured in-house, ready to install
Seagull Balustrades manufactures glass balustrades and stainless steel handrails in-house, using CNC flow-drilling machines to create strong, accurate and reliable fittings.
Each system is tailored around the requirements of the project, whether for residential, DIY or commercial use – from balconies, decking areas and patios through to roof terraces, swimming pool surrounds, public spaces, hotels, restaurants and offices.
Self-install balustrade and handrail kits are cut to size and supplied ready for installation, based on your project requirements and designed to meet relevant UK building regulation requirements where applicable.

Our Craftsmanship
Quality materials and lasting performance
Every Seagull Balustrades system is supplied with a focus on durability, finish and long-term performance, from the grade of stainless steel used through to the way each handrail is drilled, fitted and finished.
Superior satin finish
A 320 grit Super Satin finish gives the stainless steel a smoother, higher-quality appearance with improved corrosion resistance.
Matching components
Handrails, brackets, fittings and fixings are finished to match, creating a cleaner and more consistent final installation.
Stronger fixing points
Our CNC 'flow-drilling' system creates a thicker fixing point inside the handrail tube, giving screws more material to grip into.
- Handrails are typically manufactured using Grade 304L stainless steel, while Grade 316L stainless steel is used for balustrade fittings and fixings. Grade 316L offers greater corrosion resistance and is particularly suitable for outdoor areas, coastal locations and environments with a higher risk of corrosion, such as swimming pool surrounds. Handrails can also be made to order in Grade 316L stainless steel if required.
